AN ORDINANCE TO ACCEPT THE LOWEST/BEST
BID FOR THE SHIER-RINGS/WILCOX ROADS
WATERLINE IMPROVEMENT, AUTHORIZING THE
MANAGER AND FINANCE DIRECTOR TO EXECUTE
A CONTRACT: AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
WHEREAS, pursuant to required advertising bids have been received
for the construction of the Shier-Rings/Wilcox Roads Waterline
Improvements and;
WHEREAS, Council has determined that the bid of Kingsley-Dunbar
in the amount of $106,573.45 is the lowest/best bid;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the Village of Dublin,
State of Ohio, 7 of the elected members concurring:
Section 1. That the bid of Kingsley-Dunbar , for the construc-
tion of said waterline in accordance with the specifications presently
on file in the office of the Village Engineer be, and hereby is,
accepted.
Section 2. That the Village Manager and Finance Director be, and they
hereby are, authorized and directed to execute a contract with the said
Kingsley-Dunbar , for the construction of said waterline.
Section 3. That the Finance Director is hereby authorized and directed
to establish a Construction Fund for said Shier-Rings/Wilcox Roads
Waterline Improvement and there is hereby appropriated from said
Construction Fund, to the account of D07-05-5W-2560, the sum of
$106,573.45 to meet the obligations of said contract.
Section 4. That this Ordinance be, and the same hereby is, declared to
be an emergency measure necessary for the public peace, health and
safety and for the further reason that a Determination to Proceed has
been approved by Council, and therefore this Ordinance shall take
effect and be in force immediately upon its passage.
