AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 8 ("SALARY
PLAN") OF ORDINANCE 52-81 ("COMPENSATION
PLAN"), AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
WHEREAS, Council has determined, upon the recommendation of the City Manager,
that it is desirable to adjust the annual salary ranges for the following list
of job classifications; and,
WHEREAS, Council believes that this amendment will allow the City to offer
compensation levels that are competitive with those in other area municipal-
ities, thus aiding in the retention of qualified, professional employees;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Dublin, State of
Ohio, ~ of the elected members concurring;
Section 1- That Section 8 ("Salary Plan") of Ordinance 52-81 be amended by
adjusting the annual salary ranges of the following job classifications:

Clerk/Typist $14,450 - $19,650
Police Clerk $15,200 - $21,000
Administrative Clerk $15,200 - $21,000
Park Maintenance Worker $16,150 - $21,260
Maintenance Worker $16,600 - $22,500
Account Clerk $16,800 - $22,700
Clerk of Court $17,200 - $23,700
Residential Plan Review/Drafting Technician $19,700 - $24,800
Administrative Assistant $19,800 - $24,900
Recreation Coordinator/Supervisor $20,000 - $25,000
Maintenance Foreman $20,700 - $27,900
Clerk of Council $21,000 - $28,000
Building Inspector $21,300 - $28,600

Section 2. That the above referenced salary ranges shall be effective January
1, 1988, subsequent to the adoption of the 1988 Operating Budget.
Section 3. That the City Manager shall determine equitable future compensa-
tion rates for Seasonal, Temporary, Emergency, and Part-Time positions with
the minimum being the prevailing Federal "Minimum Wage".
Section 4. That this Ordinance be, and hereby is, declared to be an emergency
measure necessary for the preservation of the public safety and welfare and,
for further reason that, in the interest of employee welfare, the above refer-
enced salary ranges should be implemented as soon as possible and, therefore,
this Ordinance sha 11 take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage.
