Form No. 2806-A Ordinance No.__32__81L_____ Passed____ ----- -- ------- --- --- __19___ AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO PURCHASE GAMMATRONIX EQUIPMENT FOR THE INTERSECTION OF STATE ROUTE 161 AND FRANTZ ROAD, AND DE- CLARING AN EMERGENCY WHEREAS, as the result of an accident in the early morning hours on March 12, 1988, at the intersection of State Route 161 and Frantz Road; and WHEREAS, the traffic signalization control box was destroyed; and WHEREAS, it was necessary to replace that control box immediately. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Dublin, State of Ohio, 6 of the elected members concurring: Section 1. That the City Manager be and hereby is authorized to purchase from Gammatronix, Inc. a traffic signalization control box. Section 2. That there be appropriated up to $40,000.00 from the unappropriated balance in the Reserve for Contingencies portion of the GENERAL FUND to the account A01-07-7X-2300 to pay for the cost of the traffic signalization control box. Section 3. That this Ordinance be, and hereby is, declared to be an emergency measure necessary for the preservation of the public safety and welfare; and, therefore, formal bidding and advertising requirements are hereby waived pursuant to Section 735.051 of the Ohio Revised Code, and this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage. There were several addition corrections which needed to be made. Please note that the amount shown for the Capital Improvement Fund ($9,667,800) is the amount authorized at the meeting on March 23 in order to meet the March 31st deadline for passage.
