AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE LOWEST
AND BEST BID FOR THE RIVERVIEW
STORM SEWER IMPROVEMENT PROJECT,
AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY
MANAGER AND FINANCE DIRECTOR TO
EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR THE SAID
PROJECT, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY
WHEREAS, after advertising and receiving bids for the Riverview Storm
Sewer Project; and,
WHEREAS, Council has determined that the lowest and best bid is from
Nickolas Savko & Sons in the amount of $173,418.43;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Dublin,
State of Ohio, 6 of the elected members concurring:
Section 1. That the bid from Nickolas Savko & Sons in the amount of
$173,418.41 for the Riverview Storm Sewer Project be, and hereby is,
accepted.
Section 2. That the City Manager and Finance Director be, and hereby
are, authorized and directed to execute a contract with Nickolas Savko &
Sons for the said project.
Section 3. That this Ordinance be, and the same hereby is, declared to be
an emergency measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the
public health, safety and welfare and shall take effect and be enforced
immediately upon passing.

SUBJECT: Riverview Storm Sewer Bids
DATE: December 21, 1988
Report from the City Engineer:
Bids were opened for the captioned project on December 16th. Four bids
were received as shown on the attached bid summary.
While all bids are over the Engineer's estimate, three of the four are in
the range of +2.6% to +9.9% over the estimate.
N. M. Savko & Sons, Inc. is considered to have submitted the lowest and
best bid. It is, therefore, recommended that the Manager be authorized to
enter into a contract with them for the Riverview Storm Sewer.
