541.01 PURPOSE: The purpose of these regulations is to protect the gen-
eral health, safety, and welfare of the community by providing an instru-

I, 541.02 DEFINITION: A sian is defined as any name. number. svmbol. identi-

structure, or other device, and which directs attention to any object, .
product, place, activity, person, institution, organization, or businese.
This definition shall include back lighted plastic panels or strip
lighting affixed to any wall or roof where any such panels or lighting
serve to identify a business and attract attention rather than to illum-
inate space for human activity. All signs located on land within or
hereafter annexed to the Village (City) of Dublin, Ohio, and visible .
from any public right-of-way or adjacent property shall comply with
these regulations unless specifically exempted in Section 541.03 below. . '

I 541.03 EXEMPTIONS AND LIMITATIONS. The following signs are exempt f~om .
these regulations and not subject to permit: .
