O. ~ f' OI'm No. 2806-A .' i Ordinarice NO._mJ_l_~__~Q_ p assed____m_m______,1u.o_e___2m______L______J 9 __6JL AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE TRAffIC CODE, CHAPTER 353, AND ADDING NEW SUBSECTION 353.07 REQUIRING NON-RESI- DENTIAL PROPERTY OWNERS AND RESIDENTIAL MULTI-fAMILY I PROPERTY OWNERS TO ERECT SIGNS AND LANE MARKINGS IN DESIGNATED fIRE lONES. NOW, THEREfORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the Village of Dublin, State of Ohio, 7 of the elected members concurring: SECTION 1. The Traffic Code Chapter 353 is amended tb add new Subsection 353.07 to read as follows: 353.07 Duty to Erect fire Lane Signs and Markings 353.07 (A) Where in the judgement of the fire Prevention Officer of the Village, it is deemed necessary for fire lanes or signage to be provided . on particular lots of privately owned property as defined hereafter, all such owners of non-residential, and.of residential multi-family dwelling units, as defined herein, within the Village of Dublin shall cause to be designated on their properties by signage or lane markings, or both, one or more fire lanes as prescribed by the fire Chief of the Washington-Perry fire Board, or the Village of Dublin's fire Prevention Officer, if said fire chief and "' fire prevention officer are not one and the same. 353.07 (B) All such signage shall be corospicuously located and either attached to the exterior of the structure on the premises or attached to a pole not to exceed seven feet in height. I 353.07 (C) Such signage shall be of metal construction, twelve (12) inches wide by eighteen (18) inches high and shall contain white background with the following text inscribed in red lettering thereon, "fire Lane, No Parking, Ordinance No. 37-80 " Lane striping or markings shall be . as the owner is reasonably directed by the fire chief prevention officer in the appropriate areas so designated. 353.07 (D) As used herein, "multi-family residential" is defined as those buildings or structures contained more than three (3) separate dwelling units. 353.07 (E) Any person may request a review by the Village Manager, or his designee, of the decision of the fire chief or fire prevention officer designating fire lane markings or establishing signage if such request for review is made not later than fourteen (14) days after such designation. SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall take effect from and after the earliest period allowed by law. Passed this 2nd day of June , 1980.
