Resolution 50-12RECORD OF RESOLUTIONS Bldnk, Inc., Form No, 30015 50 -12 ResolutioY7 No. Passed 2 0 A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE LOWEST AND BEST BID FOR THE DUBLIN COMMUNITY POOL NORTH CONCESSIONS BUILDING ALTERATIONS PROJECT AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT FOR THE PROJECT WHEREAS, formal advertising and competitive bidding procedures have been conducted, pursuant to Section 8.04 of the Revised Charter, for the Dublin Community Pool North Concessions Building Alterations Project; and WHEREAS, Council has determined that the base bid in the amount of $138,323.00 submitted by Velocity Construction Services, LLC is the lowest and best bid; and WHEREAS, this project was programmed in the 2012 CIP; and WHEREAS, funding will be available in the Capital Improvements Tax Fund. NOW, THEREF94E, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Dublin, State of Ohio, of the elected members concurring, that: Section 1 . The base bid in the amount of $138,323.00 submitted by Velocity Construction Services, LLC is hereby accepted. Section 2 . The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a contract for said project as specified within the bid proposal and the City's bid documents on file in the Division of Parks & Open Space. Section 3 . This Resolution shall take effect and be in force upon passage in accordance with Section 4.04(a) of the Revised Charter. Six (6) bids were received: Gutknecht Construction Company RW Setterlin Building Company Elford, Inc. Velocity Construction Services, LLC 2K General Company JANCO LLC Base Bid $168,000.00 $149,000.00 $172,600.00 $138,323.00 $185,000.00 $167,540.00 The funds for this project are included in the 2012 CIP budget as a part of the $490,000 allocation. Work to be completed aside from this contract includes: concession stand equipment, concession seating area shade, building trim updating and landscape upgrades. The base bid estimate for this project was $260,000. This project will include all materials and labor necessary for the alteration and expansion of the existing pool concession building. Recommendation Staff recommends adoption of Resolution 50 -12, accepting Velocity Construction Services, LLC's base bid of $138,323.00. Velocity has not completed work for the City of Dublin, but staff has received positive references.
