'11,1'1 !I ORDINANCE NO, !1 II AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE VILLAGE OF DUBLIN 'I CRIMINAL C@DE TO PROVIDE FOR REPORTING VIOLATIONS AND THE ARREST OF PERSONS FAILING TO OBEY THE II SIGNALS OF A STOPPED SCHOOL BUS AND DECLARING I II AN EMERGENCY, " 'I II Ii WHEREAS, the Ohio Revised Code has been amended to provide I, I for a procedure of issuing citations, presumptions, and arrest I of those persons violating statutes requiring drivers of motor I vehicles, behind or approaching a school bus, to stop when the " bus is receiving or discharging passengers, WHEREAS, it is desirable to coordinate Dublin's ordinances I in this matter so as to make them identical with the State statute, NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the Village of Dublin, Ohio, ~ members concurring; I Section 1, The Criminal Code of the Village of Dublin be and the same hereby is amended to add the following: AS USED IN THIS SECTION, "LICENSE PLATE" INCLUDES, BUT 'J" I IS NOT LIMITED TO, ANY TEMPORARY LICENSE PLACARD ISSUED I UNDER SECTION 4503,182 OF THE REVISED CODE OR SIMILAR LAW OF ANOTHER JURISDICTION, WHEN THE OPERATOR OF A SCHOOL BUS BELIEVES THAT A MOTORIST HAS VIOLATED THE ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE REQUIRING VEHICLES TO STOP WHEN BEHIND OR APPROACHING SCHOOL BUSES LOADING OR DISCHARGING A SCHOOL CHILD, THE OPERATOR SHALL REPORT THE II LICENSE PLATE Nill1BER AND GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE VEHICLE TO THE VILLAGE OF DUBLIN POLICE DEPARTMENT, I UPON RECEIPT OF THE REPORT OF THE ALLEGED VIOLATION, THE POLICE DEPARTMENT SHALL CONDUCT AN INVESTIGATION TO ATTEMPT TO DETERMINE THE IDENTITY OF THE OPERATOR OF THE VEHICLE AT THE TIME OF THE ALLEGED VIOLATION, IF I THE IDENTITY OF THE OPERATOR AT THE TIME OF THE ALLE~ED VIOLATION IS ESTABLISHED, THE REPORTING OF THE LICENSE PLATE NUMBER OF THE VEHICLE SHALL ESTABLISH PROBABLE ...... ,- , . : , I J I :1 il I, qr;- 79 -p,2.
