AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING PETITION FOR ANNEXATION OF
TERRITORY TO THE VILLAGE OF DUBLIN, OHIO. (JUST
I NORTH OF DUBLIN HIGH SCHOOL ON EAST SIDE OF COFFMAN
ROAD CONSISTING. OF 75.2 ACRES)
WHEREAS, said annexation has been approved by the Franklin County
Commissioners and Council is of the opinion that said territory
should be annexed:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT O~NED by the Council of the Village of
Dublin, State of Ohio, of the elected members concurring:
SECTION I . That the petition of John W. McKitrick, et al~ for thE
annexation to the Vi Ilage of Dublin, of the fol lowing described
terr itory in the County of Franklin and adjacent to the Village
of Dubl in to-wit: (See Attachment "A", the legal description
which is hereby made an official part of this Ordinance). The
accurate map of which territory together with its pet it i on for
annexation and other papers relating thereto, and a certified
transcript of the proceedings of the County Commissioners in re-
lation thereto on file with the Clerk-Treasurer of the Village be
and the same hereby IS, accepted.
SECTION 2. That this Ordinance shal I take effect and be in force

I The Commissioners of Franklin County, State of Ohio,
proceeding this day to hear and consider the petition of John
W. McKitrich, et al., filed April 3, 1979, and having in open
hearing heard all of the persons desiring to be heard for
or against the granting of said petition, and having considered
all the facts with reference thereto, and being fully advised,
FIND, that said petition contains all of the matters
required by law; that the territory sought to be annexed is
adjacent and contiguous to the said Village of Dublin, Ohio;
that the petition contains a full and complete description
of said territory sought to be annexed; that the map for said
!I territory is accurate; that the petition for said territory
, is signed by a majority of the owners of real estate within
I the territory sought to be annexed; that the required legal
I notice has been published; that the territory sought to be
I annexed is not unreas(;:mably large; and that the general good
of the territory sought to be annexed will be served if this
I annexation is granted, all in accordance with the provisions
of the Ohio Revised Code 709.033; therefore,
IT IS HEREBY ORDERED: On motion of Mr. Dorrian, seconded
by Mr. Foulk, that the prayer of said petition be granted
I and that the territory described in said petition be annexed
to the Village of Dublin, Ohio, in accordance with the law;
that the orders and proceedings of this Board relating to
said petition and map attached thereto, and all papers on
file relating to said matter be deposited at once with the
Clerk of Dublin, Ohio.

I Under the provisions of Section 709.03 of the Ohio Revised
Code, you, as agent are responsible for the following:
(1) Notification of the date of filling of your petition
with the Board of County Canmissioners to be delivered
to the Clerk of the municipality to Which annexation
is proposed and the clerk of each township Which
is included in the annexation. (A map, description
and a copy of the petition should be presented to
each clerk).
(2) Publication of the substance of the petition once
a week for fo~r consecutive weeks in a newspaper
of general circulation in the County. (The enclosed
resolution will satisfy the statutory requirements
and should be used for the published notice).
(3) Service upon the municipal and township clerk of
a copy of the published notice.
(4) Preparation of an affidavit stating the name of
the agent, the number of owners of real estate at
the time of the filing of petition and the number
I of owners signing the petition.
A letter from the municipality to Which an annexation is proposed

RE: Proposed annexation from Washington-Twp. to Dublin - 75.2 acres
Gentlemen:
Data concerning the availability of services to the area proposed for
Annexation June 6, 1979 is as follows:
SEWER SERVICE
The subject area is in our Sewer Service Contract with the City of
Columbus, therefore it can be served when planning and financial ob-
ligations will permit.
WATER SERVICE
The subject area is in our Water Service Contract with the City of
I Columbus and a 16- Waterline is directly across the road from the
subject property.
POLICE PROTECTION
The Village currently has 24 hour coverage wit~,nine (9) full-time
and twelve (12) Reserve Officers. Communicati.na are handled through
a contract with Perry Township and Dublin do.s have mutual aid agree-
ments with other Franklin County Political subdivisions as well as
Delaware County.
FIRE PROTECT I ON
Fire protection is provided by the Washington-Perry Townships Fire
Department and, they too, have mutual aid agreements with other Fire
Departments.
MAINTENANCE AND IMPROVEMENTS
The Village spends a considerable amount of funds to maintain good
services in the area of Street and Road maintenance, Snow re.oval,
etc, therefore, this area could be served with the same services
currently provided to Village residents.
It is the feeling of Dublin Officials that we can, and will provide
I good services to this area proposed for annexation.
