A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE LOWEST AND
BEST BID FOR THE 2007 TURF MAINTENANCE
PROJECT AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT FOR SAID SERVICES
WHEREAS, after advertising and receiving bids on Tuesday, January 23, 2007 for the
2007 Turf Maintenance Project, Council has determined that the base bid submitted by
Stottlemyer Hydromulching, Inc in the amount of $385,000 is the lowest and best bid;
and
WHEREAS, this project is an approved 2007 Capital Improvements Project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Dublin, State
of Ohio, ~_ of the elected members concurring that:
Section 1. The bid submitted by Stottlemyer Hydromulching, Inc. in the amount of
$385,000 for the 2007 Turf Maintenance Project is hereby accepted.
Section 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a contract for said project
as specified within the bid proposal and the City's bid documents on file in the Division
of Parks & Open Space.
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect and be in force upon passage in accordance
with Section 4.04(a) of the Revised Charter.

Memo
Summary
On Tuesday, January 23, 2007 bids were opened for the 2007 Turf Right-of--Way Maintenance
Project. The funds for this project are included in the 2007 Operating Budget in the approximate
amount of $393,851.
Four (4) bids were received for this project:
Bid Total
1) Buckeye Landscape $ 423,868.00
2) Stottlemyer Hydromulching, Inc $ 385,000.00
3) Environmental Management $ 741,020.00
4) Peabody Landscape $ 413,535.00
This project consists of the mowing, fertilizing and broadleaf weed control of rights-of--way,
medians. and green spaces throughout the City of Dublin. Stottlemyer Hydromulching, Inc. is
confident in their bid and has stated their commitment to adhering to the scope of the contract.
Staff has completed references for Stottlemyer Hydromulching, Inc. and has found their references
to be satisfactory.
Recommendation
Staff is recommending adoption of Resolution 06-07, accepting Stottlemyer Hydromulching, Inc.'s
base bid of $385,000.00
