A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE LOWEST AND BEST
BID FOR THE LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE SOUTH
PROJECT AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT FOR SAID SERVICES.
WHEREAS, after advertising and receiving bids on Tuesday, January 23, 2007 for
the Landscape Maintenance South Project, Council has determined that the base bid
submitted by Peabody Landscape Construction in the amount of $87,625 for the
Landscape Maintenance North Project is the lowest and best bid; and
WHEREAS, this is an approved 2007 Capital Improvements Project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Dublin, State
of Ohio, ~ of the elected members concurring that:
Section 1. The bid submitted by Peabody Landscape Construction in the amount of
$87,625 for the Landscape Maintenance South Project is hereby accepted.
Section 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a contract for said project
as specified within the bid proposal and the City's bid documents on file in the Division
of Parks & Open Space.
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect and be in force upon passage in accordance
with Section 4.04(a) of the Revised Charter.

Memo
Summary
On Tuesday, January 23, 2007 bids were opened for the 2007 Landscape Maintenance North &
South Projects. The funds for these are included in the 2007 Operating Budget in the approximate
amount of $150,367.
Four (4) bids were received for this project:

3) Peabody Landscape $ 78, 335.00 $ 87,625.00

This project consists of the weeding, mulching, bed edging, spraying pre-emergent and plant
maintenance for rights-of--way, medians and green spaces throughout the City of Dublin. Peabody
Landscape Construction is confident in their bid and has stated their commitment to adhering to
the scope of the contract.
Staff has completed references for Peabody Landscape Construction and has found their references
to be satisfactory.
Recommendation
Staff is recommending adoption of Resolution 04-07(North) and OS-07( South), accepting
Peabody Landscape Construction base bids in the amount of $78,335 (North) and $87,625 (South).
