AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE TRAFFIC
f CODE, CHAPTER 331 OF THE CODIFIED
ORDINANCES, TO PROHIBIT VEHICULAR
TRAVEL UPON AND DAMAGE TO DUBLIN
CEMETERIES OTHER THAN THE GRAVELED
PORTION OF ROADWAY.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the Village of Dublin,
State of Ohio, "'1 of the elected members concurring, that:
SECTION 1. The Village of Dublin Traffic Code, Chapter 331 of the Codified
Ordinances, is amended by including the following therein:
DRIVING UPON CEMETERY PROPERTY
OTHER THAN A GRAVELED PORTION
OF ROADWAY
(a) No person shall drive or operate any vehicle, including a bicycle,
in a cemetery, except upon the graveled roadway, if such is
provided. The following shall constitute exceptions to the
pro~isions of this ordinance:
l. The operation of a municipal vehicle for interment or cemetery
maintenance operations. t.

A vehlcle operated by a funeral home or monumen, camp ln
I the cemetery on bona fide business, and there exists a real
and present need to leave the roadway to conduct such business.
3. A police, fire or other emergency vehicle respondinq to a call
for assistance in the cemetery, and there exists a real and
present need to leave the roadway to perform the function.
(b) Whoever violates this section is guilty of a minor misdemeanor.
In addition to any fine imposed, any person who operates the vehicle
in a manner as prohibited above and the lawful owner of the vehicle
shall be liable to the municipality for any and all damages.
SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after
the earliest period permitted by law.
