RESOLUTI ON F ) TO AUTHORIZE AND DIRECT THE r~YOR TO ENTER INTO
A CONTRACT r.10DIFYH!G THE AGREEr"ENT ORIGINALty' ENTERED INTO PURSUANT TO
ORDINANCE NO. 197-52, RELATING TO THE LOCAL DISASTER SERVICES AGENCY,
AND TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY:

I' WHEREAS, the terms agency, attack, civil defense, natural and ^
! . man~made disasters, emergency, law, political subdivisions, as defined
in S~ctions 5915.01 to 5915.99 of the Ohio Revised Code are hereby in~
corporated into this agreement; and
WHEREAS, a natural or man-made disaster or enemy attack occurs
and a condition of emergency beyond the capability of the affected local
municipal corporations and political subdivisions of Franklin County to
control and resolve the disaster by utilizing its local and available
forces and resources and imminent threat of widespread or severe damage,
personal injury and hardship or loss of life and property resulting from
the natural phenomenon or act of man exists; and
HHEREAS, an emergency exists for the immediate preservation of
the public peace, safety, and welfare, the emergency being to provide for .
the coordination of disaster services activities within the area of
Franklin County; now therefore;
BE IT RESOLVED (ORDAINED) by the Council of VI("L/V~e p;::

t That the mayor be and he is hereby authorized to enter into a
written agreement with the County Commissioners of Franklin County and
the legislative authorities of not less than a majority of the municipal
corporations and political subdivisions within Franklin County in accor- c:.
dance with the terms of Ordinance 2134-74, passed December 16, 1974, by
the Columbus City Council.
