RESOLUTION NO 07-~E
DETERMINING TO PROCEED TO SUBMIT QUESTION OF THE
ISSUANCE OF BONDS OF THE VILLAGE OF DUBLIN FOR
THE PURPOSE OF CONSTRUCTING A MUNICIPAL SEWAGE
COLLECTION SYSTEM, CERTIFYING THE SAME TO THE
BOARD OF ELECTIONS OF FRANKLIN COUNTY, OHIO,
I AND TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY
WHEREAS, this Council on the 15th day of January, 1968, duly adopted
Resolution 02-68 providing for the submission to the electors of the Village
of the question of issuing $376,800 of bonds for the purpose of constructing a
municipal sewage collection system by the acquisition of real estate or easements
or other interests in real estate, and the construction of sewer lines and
appurtenances and of levying a tax to provide for their payment at the primary
election to be held on Tuesday, the 7th day of May, 1968; and
WHEREAS, the auditor of Franklin County has certified to this Coun-
cil that the average annual levy throughout the life of such bonds which would
be required to pay the interest on and to retire the same, assuming that they
are all issued in one series and that the amount of the tax list of this Village
8 remains throughout the life of the bonds the same as the tax list for the
current year, is 8.7 mills for each one dollar of taxable valuation, which
amounts to Eighty-Seven Cents for each one hundred dollars of taxable valuation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Village of
Dublin, County of Franklin, and State of Ohio:
Section 1. That this Council hereby determines to proceed with the
issuance of said bonds and the Clerk of Council is hereby directed to certify
to the Board of Elections of Franklin County, Ohio, Resolution No. 02-68
aforesaid calling such election together with a copy of this resolution, the
amount of the average annual tax levy as estimated by the county auditor,
and the maximum number of years to retire said bonds, namely 30 years, to
give notice of said election, and to prepare the necessary ballots and supplies
therefor.
Section 2. This Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency
measure necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and
safety of the Village and its inhabitants and for the further reason that
this Resolution must be certified to the Board of Elections of Franklin County,
Ohio by February 7, 1968 in order to submit the question herein to the electors,
e wherefore this Resolution shall take effect and be in force from and immediately
after its passage.
