A RESOLUTION FOR THE MENTAL RETARDATION LEVY
RENEWAL - ISSUE 2.
t:J WHEREAS, the citizens of Franklin County, Ohio have before them
on their bal lot of November 6, 1979, a ten year 1/2 mi II tax
levy renewal for the purpose of providing continued funds for
the maintenance and operation of training centers and sheltered
workshops for mentally retarded persons; and
WHEREAS, services are presently provided to over 2000 chi Idren
and adults of al I ages in over 30 preschool programs, four
, training centers, four sheltered workshops, and in several home~
of mentally retarded persons; and
WHEREAS, the Franklin County Program for the Mentally Retarded
believes in the inherent worth of each individual and that each
person deserves the opportunity to learn the skil Is to live
more productive, independent and satisfying lives;
SECTION I. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Counci I of
the Vii lage of Dublin. Ohio, hereby endorses ISSUE 2 appearing
on the November 6, 1979 ba!lot and urges all citizens of Col-
umbus and Franklin County, Ohio, to simi larly support the levy

SECTION 2. That this Resolution shal I take effect and be In
force immediately upon its passage.
