A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING AN ESTATE BENEFITS
AND GIFTS CO}illITTEE TO RECEIVE BEQUESTS AND
DONATIONS ON BEHALF OF THE VILLAGE AND
AUTHORIZING THE APPOINTMENT OF MEl1BERS THERETO.

wlIEREAS , it is desirous for the Village of Dublin to
establish a commission to receive bequests and donations of
real and personal property, of open space and recreational sites,
historical buildings and artifacts, cash donations, and other
items of tangible worth for the general benefit of present and
future citizens of the Village,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Village
of Dublin, members concurring:
Section 1. That there be and hereby is created the
Dublin Estate Benefits and Gifts Commission to be composed of
three (3) members, as hereafter provided, whose function it
C shall be:
A. To develop and provide information for distribution
to potential donors and benefactors regarding gifts and bequests
to the Village. .
B. To ~ solicit donations for these purposes.
C. To prepare and submit to Council an annual report of
the Committee's activities.
D. To ~ seek Council approval of funds to complete
committee tasks.
Section 2. That the Mayor of the Village of Dublin be and
hereby is empowered to appoint to the Commissio~ as heretofore
n established, three (3) such individuals, resident of the Village,
U as he shall deem qualified, to serve on such Commission, subject
to approval of Council, and to make the determinations as
I required in this Ordinance. Such Committee shall be composed

of three (3) members who shall be appointed for three (3) year

terms. One of the three members shall be from the Dublin
Historical Socllty, one from the Dublin Parks and Recreation
Division and one member shall be a member of Village Council.
