E A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THAT THE OHIO DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH
HOLD A PUBLIC HEARING IN DUBLIN, OHIO ON THE APPLICATION
FOR PERMISSION TO BUILD HEALTH CARE FACILITIES IN DUBLIN.
WHEREAS, two organizations: have made applications to the Ohio Department of
Health for permission to build health-care facilities in the Village of Dublin;
and,
WHEREAS, a request for a public hearing in Dublin on one such proposal was
filed, the Ohio Department of Health refused to conduct that hearing in Dublin
and instead held it on March 16, 1982 in their offices in Columbus; and
WHEREAS, a request for a hearing has been filed on the second application
again asking that the hearing be conducted in Dublin.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Village of Dublin, State
of Ohio, _1) of the elected members concurring:
SECTION 1. That the Council of the Village of Dublin takes serious exception
to the announced policy of the Ohio Department of Health that it shall not
conduct a public hearing in Dublin on the pending applications as it has the
effect of depriving the citizens of Dublin of a valuable opportunity to appear
D and comment on these proposals which are of great significance and importance
to the Village of Dublin.
SECTION 2. That the Council of the Village of Dublin requests a reconsidera-
tion of this decision by the Ohio Department of Health and specifically re-
quests that a hearing(s) be scheduled in the Village of Dublin on the applica-
tion of Community Hospital Association of Mid-America for a Certificate of
Need and on the application by Riverside Hospital, if requests for reconsider-
ation or re-evaluation are granted, utilizing the Council chambers at no cost
to the Ohio Department of Health.
SECTION 3. That the Council directs that copies of this Resolution be deliver-
ed to the Governor and to the Director of Health.
SECTION 4. That this Resolution shall take effect and be in force immediately
upon its passage.
