RESOLUTION OF COMMITTMENT
D The Dublin Village Council, recognizing that the Dublin area is not immune
to the drug and alcohol problem which persists in our society in general,
desires to take aggressive steps toward reducing the problem in our com-
muni ty .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Village of Dublin,
State of Ohio, to of the elected members concurring to take the fol-
lowing steps:
Section 1.
1. Continue to take an active role as a participant in the "Dublin
Action Commi ttee for Substance Abuse Prevention".
2. Actively promote the awareness of the substance abuse problems, educate
about its horrible consequences, prevent and control drug distribution
and provide treatment for those who have succumbed to substance abuse.
3. Commit the Dublin Police Department to actively participate and cooper-
ate with the above mentioned committee, Dublin school authorities and
surrounding police districts.
4. Commit, as Council of the Village, up to $3,000 from Contingency Funds
during 1982 to help fund various programs that may arise and find so-
D lutions for this growing problem.
5. Encourage the Citizens of Dublin and the School District to join in
a total community effort to give of their talents and resources to
accomplish this mission.
Section 2.
This Resolution shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its
passage.
