RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MANAGER TO PROCEED TO OBTAIN
I A LEASE FROM THE CITY OF COLUMBUS FOR 21t ACRES AND TO
ALSO INVESTIGATE ACCESS TO SAME
WHEREAS, the Administration has held informal discussions with officials of the
City of Columbus over the last several years and found them to be agreeable to
leasing 21z acres along the east bank of the Scioto River south of the S. R.
161/33 Bridge and north of Martin Road to the Village of Dublin for use as a
"passive oriented" park on a long-term basis for a nominal sum; and
WHEREAS, the Dublin Village Council is desirous of leasing said property for
development as a park and recognizes that roadways will have to be built/recon-
structed, parking areas constructed, trees and underbrush removed, etc.; and
WHEREAS, the Dublin Village Council acknowledges that the City of Columbus will
permit only "passive" recreation development and use of said land and that
appropriate and safe access to same must be secured,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Village of Dublin, State
of Ohio, ____ of the elected members concurring:
SECTION 1. That the Manager is authorized to proceed with the leasing of
the subject property.
fJ SECTION 2. That the Manager is directed to proceed to obtain appropriate
access.
SECTION 3. That this Resolution shall take effect and be in force from and
after the earliest period allowed by law.
