A RESOLUTION DECLARING IT NECESSARY TO LEVY A TAX
IN EXCESS OF THE TEN MILL LIMITATION.
D The Council of the Village of Dublin, Franklin County, Ohio, met in Regular

with the following members present:

Mr.~. t~ese moved the adoption of the following Resolution a~
an emergency measure.
WHEREAS, the amount of taxes which may be raised within the ten mill limita-
I tion will be insufficient to provide an adequate amount for the necessary re-
quirements of said Village of Dublin, Franklin County, Ohio; therefore, be it
resolved by the Council of the Village of Dublin, Franklin County, Ohio, two-
thirds of all members elected thereto concurring, that it is necessary to levy
I a tax in excess of the ten mill limitation for the benefit of the Village of
Dublin, Ohio for the purpose of providing and maintaining motor vehicles,
communications, and other equipment, used directly in the operation of a police
department, or the payment of salaries of permanent police personnel at a rate
not exceeding ~ mills for each one dollar of valuation which amounts to
~ twelve cents (~2~ per one hundred dollars evaluation for a continuing period
of time as per Am. Ohio House Bill No. 850 which amends Section 5705.19 of the
Ohio Revised Code, and which levy is a renewal of an existing levy of /,~
mills.
RESOLVED, that said levy be placed upon the tax list of the current year after
I the February settlement next succeeding the election, if a majority of the
! electors voting thereon vote in favor thereof; and be it further Resolved that
the Clerk of this Village of Dublin, Ohio, be and hereby is, directed to certi
fy a copy of this ~esolution to~the Board of Elections, Franklin County, Ohio,
prior to the Eef een-fJ, Ui) day of lil.Lic'tc:i , 1981, and notify
said Board of ections to cause notice of el c ion on the question of levying
said tax to be given as required by law. Mr./~ Shaw C/r1 seconded the
motion and the roll call being called upon its adoption, the vote resulted as
follows:
