A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE INTENT TO MAlCE
r- ALL pLANNING EFFORTS TO BOULEVARD WEST
DUBLIN-GRANVILLE ROAD (S.R. 161) WIlEN THE
\..... ROAD IS EVENTUALLY WIDENED.
WHEREAS, West Dublin-Granville Road will be a highly traveled gateway
into the Village of Dublin, and
WHEREAS, a boulevard will greatly complement the existing and future
development on West Dublin-Granville Road, and
WHEREAS, the Dublin Planning and Zoning Commission recommends approval
of the planning effort, and
WHEREAS, a boulevard type street will accomplish a major goal of the
Sawmill/S.R. 161 Quadrant Study by preventing a great number of turning
movements and thus encouraging property owners develop a service road
network,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Village of Dublin,
Ohio, 7 members concurring, that:
r Section 1. That the Council of the Village of Dublin hereby declares a~
intention to boulevard West Dub1in-Granyi1le Road and directs the
\...... Village Staff to guide private development in a manner that will
accomplish the bou1eyarding.
Section 2. That passage of this Resolution expresses an intent only and
is to be used for planning purposes. The eventual decision to bou1eyard
West Dublin-Granville Road will depend on engineering feasibility as
well as fund availability.
Section 3. That this Resolution is hereby declared an emergency to
expedite the planning process necessary for the immediate preservation
of the public health, safety and welfare. Therefore, this resolution
shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage.
