A RESOLUTION TO REQUEST THE OHIO
[ DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION TO
DELAY THE BID OPENING FOR THE
SCIOTO BRIDGE REHABILITATION PRO-
JECT: AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
WHEREAS, a large number of Dublin Businesses are of the opinion
that their businesses would be adversely affected if this Re-
habilitation Project was under construction from September to
December 1985, and
WHEREAS, these businesses have petitioned the Village to request
the Ohio Department of Transportation to delay bid openings to
conform to a February or March, 1986 start of construction, with
completion by September 30, 1986.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Village of
Dublin, State of Ohio, 7 of the elected members concurring:

SECTION 1- That the Council of the Village of Dublin supports
[ the petition and requests that the Project be sold on a date
that will permit the earliest possible start of construction in
1986 provided that such a delay would have no effect on the
Federal or State funds involved in said Project nor, cause fur-
ther delays in the construction.
SECTION 2. That this Resolution be, and the same hereby is, de-
clared to be an emergency measure necessary for the preservation
of the public peace, health and safety and for the further rea-
son that this request should be forwarded to the Ohio Department
of Transportation as soon as possible and therefore, this
Resolution shall take effect and be in force immediately upon
its passage.
