[ A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING VILLAGE OF DUBLIN
PARTICIPATION IN THE DUBLIN ARTS COUNCIL AND
APPOINTING A CITIZEN TO REPRESENT COUNCIL TO THE
ADVISORY COMMITTEE OF THE SAID DUBLIN ARTS COUNCIL.
WHEREAS, there is presently being organized a Dublin Arts Council
for the enhancement of the arts within the Village of Dublin, and
WHEREAS, such an Arts Council would be for the benefit of the
inhabitants of the Village and for worthwhile public projects
within the Village, and
WHEREAS, individuals, groups and corporations have expressed interest
in promoting the Dublin Arts Council which would be for the benefit
of Village inhabitants.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Village, 7
members concurring:
Section 1. That it be and hereby is declared to be worthwhile and
beneficial for the welfare of the Village to participate in the
proposed Dublin Arts Council by appointing a citizen to represent
the interests of the Council to the Advisory Committee which will
establish the Council.
[ Section 2. That Lorraine King be and herebv is
appointed as the representative of the Village Council. Said
appointment will be effective until December 31, 1984. Hereafter
each appointment will be for a period of one year. Each appointee
will provide quarterly reports to Council on the progress of said
Advisory Committee.
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect and be in force from
and after the earliest period allowed by law.
