A RESOLUTION CERTIFYING THE ENDORSEMENT AND SUPPORT OF A
....-
j LITTER CONTROL PROGRAM FOR THE VILLAGE OF DUBLIN AND
~ AUTHORIZING THE VILLAGE MANAGER TO APPLY FOR THE NECES-
SARY FUNDS TO IMPLEMENT SAID PROGRAM
WHEREAS litter is unsightly and unsanitary, and,
WHEREAS millions of dollars are spent in Ohio each year to remove litter from
along roads, streets, waterways, recreational places, and other public areas;
and,
WHEREAS the Council of the Village of Dublin recognizes the existence of a
litter problem within the boundaries of Dublin and the need to address the
problem, at the local level; and,
WHEREAS the Ohio Litter Control Act of 1980 provides, through the Department
of Natural Resources, Office of Litter Control, for the allocation of public
funds in the form of grants for the purpose of enhancing local litter control
programs; and,
WHEREAS the Council has provided public notice of its intent to apply for a
litter control and recycling grant and has held a public meeting to provide
opportunity for public involvement in the development of its proposed program;

'\..... WHEREAS having reviewed our application for a grant under this program and
having considered the guidelines covering the administration and use of such
grant funds
BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the Village of Dublin:
HEREBY endorses, and supports a litter control program for Dublin and shall
authorize the necessary funds to implement said program, if approved, as indi-
cated in the accompanying application; and, .
HEREBY authorizes the Village Manager to apply for and, if awarded, administer
a grant to implement said program for Dublin; and,
HEREBY requests the Department of Natural Resources, Office of Litter Control,
to consider and fund said application.
