RESOLUTION ENDORSING PASSAGE OF 3.15
MILL LEVY FOR FRANKLIN COUNTY CHILDREN
SERVICES
WHEREAS, the Franklin County Commissioners have placed a 3.15 mill Children
Services levy on the November 7, 1989 ballot; and
WHEREAS, the Franklin County Children Services Board will discontinue collecting
on two levies that expire in 1991 if the 3.15 mill levy passes; and
WHEREAS, the Franklin County Children Services Board serves abused, neglected
and abandoned children who depend on the agency as their only hope;and
WHEREAS, the Franklin County Children Services Board has demonstrated the
need for this levy to protect at-risk children, and because of decreasing
revenues and increasing costs; and
WHEREAS, the Franklin County Children Services Board is required by law to
provide certain services to children, whether or not there are funds avail-
able to pay for those services; and
WHEREAS, this levy will just meet the projected costs of maintaining current
Franklin County Children Services Board services and making modest expansion
and improvement of services possible.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Council of the City of Dublin, State of
Ohio hereby endorses the passage of the 3.15 mill levy to support the
continuing provision of services to abused, neglected and abandoned children
by the Franklin County Children Services Board and will communicate this
support to the citizens of the City of Dublin, Ohio.
