RESOLUTION OF SUPPORT FOR DUBLIN
SCHOOLS BOND LEVY MAY 2, 1989
WHEREAS, a strong school district is vital to the economic well-being
and future success of the Dublin community; and
WHEREAS, the quality of the school district is an important factor in
bringing new residents and businesses to our community, thus insuring
stable property values and opportunities for its residents; and
WHEREAS, the Dublin Schools must continue to serve an important role in
the success of the Dub lin community by attracting families and
businesses who are seeking quality education in the City; and
WHEREAS , the Dublin Schools currently needs increased revenue in the
corning year to resolve a deficit; and
WHEREAS, the continued success of the Dublin Schools is important to the
continued success of this City in providing a sound education and better
employment opportunities to the future work force,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Dublin City Council endorses a
8,19 mill one-year emergency operating levy which will be placed before
voters on May 2nd by the Dublin Board of Education,
