Dayton Legal Blank Co., Form No. 30045 - I I I I I Passed I I Resolution No, _19__ ___n 21-93-- r--- I A RESOLUTION TO SET FORTH A STATEMENT I OF SERVICES TO BE PROVIDED TO THE AREA I IN A PROPOSED ANNEXATION OF 119.6+/- ACRiS FROM WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, FRANKLIN COUNTY ! i TO THE CITY OF DUBLIN, OHIO AS REQUIRED I I I BY SECTION 709.031 OF THE OHIO REVISED CODE, I AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY I WHEREAS, a petition for the annexation of 119.6+/- acres from I I Washington Township was duly filed by Robert A. Meyer, Jr. on i I behalf of william K. Southworth, 4735 Nugent Drive, Columbus, Ohio and Dortha Mae Bowman, 5599 Hayden Run Road, Amlin, Ohio; ! and I i WHEREAS, a public hearing has been scheduled i before the I Franklin County Commissioners at 10 a.m. on January 5, 1994; I and ! i WHEREAS, Section 709.031 of the Ohio Revised Code requires I I that, prior to said hearing, the Municipal Authority shall I adopt statement indicating what services, if the I a any, I Municipal Corporation will provide to the territory proposed for annexation. I I I NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOL(;D by Council of the City of I I Dublin, State of Ohio, of the elected members t I concurring: I I I section 1. The City of Dublin will provide the following I municipal services for the 119.6 +/- acres in Washington I TownShip, Franklin County upon the annexation of said area to t the City of Dublin, Ohio: ! i i Police. The city provides Police and Communications , I service on a full twenty-four hour basis and also has I I mutual aid agreements with other municipalities. The , i annexation area lies approximately two miles southwest of I Dublin's Police Division Headquarters. Dublin operates I with a minimum of three cruisers on duty. A response time of approximately three minutes for an emergency I , situation should be expected for this area. I i Fire. Fire protection is currently provided by weIl- I staffed departments in Washington and Perry Townships. I They, too, have mutual aid agreements with other I municipalities. This annexation would not change fire , ! department jurisdictional boundaries, and therefore i I response times for fire and emergency medical services I will not be affected. The Washington Township Fire Station is approximately one mile from the annexation area and normal response times should be approximately I two minutes. ! Sanitation. Residential refuse collection services are I contracted by the City and are currently provided at no I additional charge. ! Street Maintenance. The city has a Street Maintenance I I Department which provides excellent service in the area of street and road maintenance. This department also provides curbside leaf pick-up at no additional charge. Section 2. The City has SEWER and WATER service area contracts with the city of Columbus, and the subject property is within said service areas, and conditioned on the ability of the City of Columbus to provide WATER, and to provide - - RECORD OF RESOLUTIONS . .
