A RESOLUTION ADOPTING A MISSION STATEMENT
FOR THE CITY OF DpBLIN
WHEREAS, the city of Dublin desires to define its long-term
vision of what the organization is and what it is striving to
become; and
WHEREAS, a mission statement will reflect the distinctive
competence and characteristics of the organization, based upon
its values, beliefs and philosophy; and
WHEREAS, a mission statement is an integral part of the
strategic planning process, reflecting attainable goals for
the organization; and
WHEREAS, a mission statement can both unify and energize the
organization by providing a framework in which its members can
work toward individual goals as well as collective goals.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of
Dublin, state of Ohio, ~ of the elected members concurring:
section 1. That the following statement shall serve as the
official mission statement of the Ci~y of Dublin, ohio:
CITY OF DUBLIN MISSION STATEMENT
The City of Dublin strives to preserve and enhance the unique
high quality of life offered to those who live or work in our
community by providing the vision, leadership and performance
standards which allow for managed growth and development. We
endeavor to deliver our services cost-effectively, with an
emphasis on quality and innovation. The City of Dublin seeks
recognition in the field of local government as being
responsive, cooperative, and culturally and environmentally
sensitive, while embracing the highest standards of integrity
and accountability to those we serve.
section 2. That this Resolution shall take effect and be in
force from and after the earliest period allowed by law.
