RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF
COMPREHENSIVE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
PROGRAM FOR DUBLIN

~ WHEREAS, the City of Dublin, the Dublin Chamber of Commerce and the Dublin
Convention and Visitors Bureau recognize that providing a balanced, healthy local
economy is a critical public and private objective, and
WHEREAS, the City, the Chamber and the Convention and Visitors Bureau recognize
that a Comprehensive Economic Development Program is necessary in order to develop
economic development strategies which will be successful and result in the type of
community which our citizens and businesses desire, and
WHEREAS, the City, the Chamber and the Convention and Visitors Bureau understand
that it requires the combined and coordinated efforts of many public and private sector
entities in order to provide a truly unified and effective economic development program
for the City of Dublin,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Dublin, State
of Ohio, I~ of the elected members concurring that:
Section 1: That the City of Dublin, the Dublin Chamber of Commerce and the Dublin
Convention and Visitors Bureau agree to work cooperatively over the course of the next
12 months to prepare and formally adopt a comprehensive economic development
program for the Dublin community. The program will identify needs, develop strategies
and programs, provide for the retention and expansion of existing local business and
industries, as well as the targeting of new business and industry to the community, and
will establish a comprehensive framework within which public and private actions can
be made towards the attainment of this common objective.
