A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING APRIL 26,
1992 AS GEORGE "PETE" HALL DAY AND
,. NAMING A VERY PARK'S DIAMOND #1 THE
GEORGE "PETE" HALL DIAMOND
WHEREAS, George "Pete" Hall began his association with the City of Dublin
as a volunteer in 1979; and
WHEREAS, Pete continued to volunteer his time and many talents until 1986
demonstrating his love for A very Park and the people of our community; and
WHEREAS, in 1987 Pete was hired by the City of Dublin as assistant softball
supervIsor with responsibility for the concession stand, groundskeeping,
supervising umpires, solving disputes during games; and
WHEREAS, Pete's greatest talent has been his amazing ability to assist with
solutions to problems at A very Park which include such diverse areas as:
building maintenance, electrical, plumbing, and appliance repair; and
WHEREAS, Pete's knowledge, experience, sensitivity and loyalty to the Dublin
community are unparalleled making him an invaluable member of the Parks &
Recreation staff; and
-""" WHEREAS, Pete's sustained commitment over the years has provided a safe and
pleasurable recreation experience for youngsters and adults alike;
NOW, THEREF(~:E BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Dublin,
State of Ohio, of the elected members concurring:
Section 1. That Dublin City Council hereby designates
SUNDA Y, APRIL 26TH AS
GEORGE "PETE" HALL DAY
Section 2. That Dublin City Council hereby formally names Diamond #1 in
Avery Park the GEORGE "PETE" HALL DIAMOND.
Section 3. That this Resolution shall take effect and be in force from and after
the earliest period allowed by law.
