A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
TO FILE AN APPLICATION AND ENTER INTO AN
AGREEMENT WITH THE CENTRAL OHIO AREA AGENCY
.1.., ON AGING FOR THE PURPOSE OF ACQUIRING FUNDS
THROUGH OHIO DEPARTMENT OF AGING, AND
DECLARING AN EMERGENCY
WHEREAS, the City of Dublin has begun construction on a multi-use
Community Recreation Center; and
WHEREAS, said Community Recreation Center will include senior adult
recreation space and meeting space; and
WHEREAS, the City of Dublin recognizes the importance of providing
service oriented programs and recreational opportunities for the senior
adult population,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Dublin, State of Ohio, ~ of the elected members
concurring that:
Section 1. The City Manager be and hereby is authorized to apply for
House Bill 1084 Senior Facilities Program FY 95 and, if awarded, enter
into an agreement with the Central Ohio Area Agency on Aging to
administer a grant to implement said opportunities and programs, and
. that the City Manager is authorized to sign said agreement,
Section 2. The City of Dublin hereby requests the Ohio Department of
Aging and the Central Ohio Area Agency on Aging, to consider and fund
its application project.
Section 3, This resolution be, and the same hereby is declared to be an
emergency measure for the preservation of the public peace, health, or
welfare of the residents of this City, and therefore this resolution shall
take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage,
