A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE $5.00 PER TON
GENERATION FEE AS PROPOSED BY THE SOLID
WASTE AUTHORITY OF CENTRAL OHIO
WHEREAS, as authorized by Ohio Revised Code Section
3734.573 (A), the Solid Waste Authority of Central Ohio adopted
Resolution No. 114-94 which proposes the establishment of a
$5.00/ton generation fee on all solid wastes generated within
Franklin County Solid Waste District and disposed within the
State of Ohio; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the procedures outlined in Ohio Revised
Code section 3734.57, the Solid Waste Authority publicly
noticed and held a public hearing on the proposed generation
fee; and
WHEREAS, Ohio Revised Code section 3734.57(B) requires that
within sixty days after delivery of a copy of the Board of
Trustees Resolution adopting the proposed fee (Resolution 114-
94) , each such Board and legislative authority, by ordinance
or resolution, shall approve or disapprove the proposed
generation fee and deliver a copy of such ordinance or
resolution to the Solid Waste Authority; and
WHEREAS, approving the proposed generation fee is in the best
interest of all residents of Franklin County.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVE(j by the Council of the City of
Dublin, State of Ohio, ry of the elected members
concurring:
section 1. That the $5.00 per ton generation fee proposed by
the Solid Waste Authority of Central Ohio (Resolution 114-94)
is hereby approved.
section 2. That the clerk is directed to send this resolution
to the Solid Waste Authority of Central Ohio, 3011 Columbus
Street, suite 203, Grove city, Ohio 43123, Attention:
Executive Director.
section 3. That this resolution shall take effect upon the
earliest date permitted by law.
