A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE $49.00/TON GENERATION FEE
AS PROPOSED BY THE SOLID WASTE AUTHORITY OF CENTRAL OHIO
AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY
,.,., WHEREAS, as authorized by Ohio Revised Code Section
3734.573 (A), the Solid Waste Authority of Central Ohio adopted
Resolution No. 110-93 which proposed the establishment of a
$49.00/ton generation fee on all solid wastes generated within
Franklin County Solid Waste District and disposed within the
State of Ohio; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the procedures outlined in Ohio Revised
Code Section 3734.573(B), the Solid Waste Authority provided
notice and held a public hearing on the proposed generation
fee; and
WHEREAS, Ohio Revised Code Section 3734.57(B) requires that
within sixty days after delivery of a copy of Board of
Trustees Resolution adopting the proposed fee (Resolution 110-
93) each such Board and legislative authority, by ordinance or
resolution, shall approve or disapprove the proposed
generation fee and deliver the resolution or ordinance to the
Solid Waste Authority of Central Ohio; and
WHEREAS, approving the proposed generation fee is in the best
interest of all residents of Franklin County.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT R~OLVED by the Council of the City of
" Dublin, State of Ohio, of the elected members concurring
that:
Section 1. The $49.00/ton generation fee proposed by the
Solid Waste Authority of Central Ohio (Resolution 110-93) is
hereby approved.
Section 2. The Clerk of Council is directed to send this
resolution to the Solid Waste Authority of Central Ohio, 3011
Columbus Street, suite 203, Grove City, Ohio 43123,
Attention: Executive Director.
Section 3. This resolution is hereby declared to be an
emergency measure due to the need to take legislative action
within the timeframes established by the Solid Waste Authority
of Central Ohio and is therefore necessary for the public
health, safety and welfare and shall take effect and be in
force immediately upon its passage.
