ii WHEREAS, preservation of natural lands is important to the health, safety and welfare J
II of the citizens of Dublin and their quality of life; I

II WHEREAS, the City of Dublin desires to protect and preserve the natural and rural
II character of outlying areas by reserving parkland; and /:

i WHEREAS, the City of Dublin desires to locate permanently-maintained open space
I, serving Dublin in the form of a metropolitan park which is convenient to all residents of
Ii northwest Franklin County.

I NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Dublin, State
! of Ohio, "7 of the members concurring that:
Section 1. The Council of the City of Dublin recommends that the City Manager cooperate
with the Franklin County Metropolitan Park system and other interested parties to locate
a proposed metropolitan park serving the City of Dublin and northwest Franklin County,
which will encompass approximately 830 acres of undeveloped land.
Section 2. The City of Dublin may financially contribute to the acquisition cost to locate
a metropolitan park serving Dublin and northwest Franklin County, payable over a multi-
year period.
Section 3. This resolution shall be in force and effect immediately upon its passage as
provided under Section 4.04(a) of the Revised Charter.
