A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE REGULATION
OF TRAFFIC ON MUIRFIELD DRIVE AND OTHER ROADS I
IN MUIRFIELD VILLAGE AND WAIVING CERTAIN PROVISIONS OF I
THE DUBLIN SIGN CODE DURING THE ANNUAL MEMORIAL TOURNAMENT \
I
WHEREAS, the Annual Memorial Tournament is scheduled at the i
Muirfield village Golf Club from May 26, 1997 through June 1, I
I
1997; and, I
WHEREAS, it is the opinion of Dublin city council that traffic i
I
would be better controlled by regulating traffic on Muirfield I
Drive and other roads in Muirfield village, thereby assuring I
the health, safety and welfare of city residents; and I
I
Dublin city Council also desires to waive certain I
WHEREAS, I
provisions of the sign code in order to facilitate traffic i
movement and to provide directional signage regarding the I
Memorial Tournament for out-of-town visitors. I
I
I
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the council of the city of I
Dublin, state of Ohio, ~ of the elected members concurring: i
I
i
section 1. That Muirfield Drive and all other roads in I
Muirfield are to be closed to all traffic except as authorized
by the city Manager and Chief of police of the city of Dublin, I
Ohio, during the hours of 7:00 A.M. to 7:00 P.M. from Monday, I
May 26, 1997 through Sunday, June 1, 1997.

section 2. That in the further interest of the public i
I
i
health, safety and welfare there shall be no parking by I
I
Tournament attendees and others associated with the Tournament I
on any street or cul-de-sac in Muirfield except those streets i
designated as approved parking areas by the city Manager, I
I
Chief of police or their designee. I
I
section 3. That applicable provisions of the Dublin sign I
code are hereby waived in order to facilitate traffic movement i
and direct out of town visitors to the event. I
I
section 4. That this Resolution shall take effect upon I
I
passage in accordance with the provisions of the Revised i
Charter. I
