A RESOLUTION RE-ESTABLISHING THE PARKS AND '
RECREATION ADVISORY COMMITTEE AND CEMETERY
COMMISSION FOR AN INTERIM PERIOD, AND APPOINTING
MEMBERS THERETO
WHEREAS, Dublin voters approved the Revised Charter on March 19, 1996 and the
Revised Charter took effect on July 4, 1996; and
WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee and the Cemetery
Commission were created in the original Dublin Charter but no longer exist following
adoption of the Revised Charter; and
WHEREAS, the City of Dublin recognizes the need for the Parks and Recreation
Advisory Committee and the Cemetery Commission to complete various agenda items
and/or to consider new business, as referred to them by City Council.
NOW, THlREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Dublin, State
of Ohio, of the elected members concurring:
Section 1. That the Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee and the Cemetery
Commission are hereby re-established on an interim basis, continuing until June 1, 1997,
to complete previous agenda items and/or to consider new items referred to them by
Council.
Section 2. That members serving on the Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee and
the Cemetery Commission prior to adoption of the Revised Charter on July 4, 1996, shall
continue to serve on their respective boards until June 1, 1997. The Director of Parks and
Recreation, however, shall no longer be a voting member of the Parks and Recreation
Advisory Committee.
Section 3. That this resolution is effective upon adoption in accordance with Section
4.04.(a) of the Revised Charter.
