35-96 Resolution RECORD OF RESOLUTIONS Dayton legal Blank Co" Form No, 30045 Ii Ii i 35-96 I =i Resolution No. Passed uun 19n nn:nl_=--== :1 A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING AN ADDITIONAL TEMPORARY LOCATION FOR MAINTAINING CASH ON HAND FOR A CHANGE FUND WHEREAS, Ordinance 43-96 previously established the authorized locations and amounts for change funds, and WHEREAS, the City of Dublin will operate the "Dublin Spirit Shop" for the sale of merchandise, sportswear and gift items from Dublin Coffman and Dublin Scioto High Schools and the City's "Definitely Dublin" line, and WHEREAS, business transactions will occur which will require cash on hand to complete the transaction and minimize inconvenience to the public, and WHEREAS, it is necessary to establish a temporary change fund for the Division of Public Information and Special Events to meet their needs for processing transactions related to the "Dublin Spirit Shop"o NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of City of Dublin, State of Ohio '7 of the elected members concurring: Section 1. That a change fund in the amount of$75000 be established by the Division of Public Information and Special Events for business transactions related to the "Dublin Spirit Shop"o Section 20 That the Division Head or his/her designee will be responsible for maintaining and reconciling the change funds on a daily basiso Receipts collected shall be deposited intact daily with the Division of Accounting and Auditing or the City depositoryo Section 3. That the change funds are to be used to make change only and not for payment of petty cash items. The Dublin Spirit Shop will be open for business November 14 through December 23 for the sale of merchandise from the Dublin Coffman and Dublin Scioto High Schools, and the City's "Definitely Dublin" lineo Adoption of this resolution will enable the City to maintain cash on hand to make change for transactions that occur at that locationo Standard procedure for staff is to request council authorization for the location and amount of cash on hand for change fundso This is an addition to the change funds as authorized through Ordinance 43-96.
