WHEREAS, a petition for the annexation of 1.+/- acres from !
Washington Township was duly filed by Barbara A. Roberts on I
i behalf of Bonnallie M. Roberts, 7595 Bellaire Avenue, Dublin, :
i Ohio; and i

WHEREAS, a public hearing has been scheduled by the Franklin i
I, County Commissioners at 10: 00 a . m. on Wednesday. December 4. I

III WHEREAS, section 709.031 of the Ohio Revised Code requires !
I that, prior to said hearing, the Municipal Authority shall II
' adopt a statement indicating what services, if any, the
I Municipal Corporation will provide to the territory proposed i
I for annexation; !

I WHEREAS, Dublin City Council adopted an interim annexation I
II policy on June 20, 1994 to provide policy directive regarding I
proposed annexations to the City of Dublin. I

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by Council of the City of
Dublin, state of Ohio, ~ of the elected members ,
concurring: I
Section 1. The City of Dublin will provide the following
municipal services for the 1.08+/- acres in Washington
Township, Franklin County if the subject property is annexed I
to the City of Dublin, Ohio: !
Police. The city provides Police and Communications
service on a full twenty-four hour basis and also has
mutual aid agreements with other municipalities. The i
annexation area lies approximately two miles east of I
Dublin's Police Division Headquarters. Dublin operates i
with a minimum of three cruisers on duty. A response !
time of approximately five minutes for an emergency i
situation should be expected for this area. I
Fire. Fire protection is currently provided by well- !
staffed departments in Washington and Perry Townships. !
They, too, have mutual aid agreements with other I
municipalities. This annexation would not change fire '
department jurisdictional boundaries, and therefore
response times for fire and emergency medical services
will not be affected. The Washington Township Fire
Station is approximately one and one-half miles from the
annexation area and normal response times should be
approximately three minutes.
Sanitation. Residential refuse collection services are
contracted by the City and are currently provided at no
additional charge.
Street Maintenance. The City has a Street Maintenance
Department which provides excellent service in the area
of street and road maintenance. This department also
provides curbside leaf pick-up at no additional charge.

' Sect10n 2 . The Cl ty has SEWER and WATER serVlce area
contracts with the City of Columbus, and the subject property i
is within said service areas, and conditioned on the ability I
of the City of Columbus to provide WATER, and to provide I
sufficient SEWERAGE disposal capacity, the City will have the i
ability to service the area. Water and sewer lines are i
accessible to the subject property. I

I' section 3. The proposed annexation appears to be consistent I
with the City's adopted interim annexation policy. i
II section 4. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon I
I passage as provided under section 4.04. (a) of the Revised i

WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Franklin County, Ohio, are prescnted the
petition for mmexation of certain adjacent territory to the City of Dublin, Ohio, filed by Bonnallie M.
Roberts, signed by Bonnallie M. Roberts and appointing Barbara A Roberts, as agent for the said territory
being described as follows:
Situated in the State of Ohio, County of Franklin, Virginia Military Lands, Washington Township,
and being all of Lot Number 7 of Dublin Estates Subdivision, as said lot is numbered and delineated upon
the recorded plat thereof, of record in Plat Book 27, Page 49A, Recorder's Office, Franklin County, Ohio,
and known as 7595 Bellaire Avenue, Dublin, Ohio 43017, and being more particularly described as
follows:
BegiIming at a point at tile northwest comer of the said Lot Number 7, and the southwest comer
of Lot Number 6, also being a comer in tile existing City of Dublin Corporation Line as established by
Ordinance Number 60-93 and shown of rccord in O.R. 24364 A05;
Thence easterly, a distance of 342.69 feet, more or less, along the north property line of said Lot
Number 7, to the northeast comer of Lot Number 7;
Thence southerly, a distance of 149.50 fcet, more or less, along and with the right-of-way of
Bellaire A venue, to a point being at the southeastem comer of said lot;
thence westerly, a distance of 306.44 feet, more or less, to a point at the southwesterly comer of
said Lot Number 7 and the easterly propelty line of Lot Number 4 of said Subdivision;
tilence nOltherly, a distmlce of 140 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning, containing 1.08
acres, more or less.
WHEREAS, together with a map of said territory accompanying said petition filed WiQl the Board
of County Commissioners, Franklin County, Ohio, on October 2, 1996, be and the smne are hereby filed
with the Franklin County Zoning Office;
WHEREAS, the Ohio Revised Code in Section 709.031 stipulates tilat the County Commissioners
can ask the County Engineer for a report on the accuracy of tilC map or plat; now, therefore, upon the
motion of Commissioner Shoemaker ,seconded by Commissioner Teater ;
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF FRANKLIN COUNTY,
OHIO:
Section 1. That a hearing upon said petition shall be held in the County Commissioners'
Hearing Room, 26th Floor of the Franklin County Courthouse at 10:00 AM. on
December 4, 1996; and
Section 2. That the Zoning Director to thc Board of County Commissioners be and
hereby is directcd to notify tilC agent of the petitioners of the time and place of said
hearing; and
