THE MENTAL HEALTH, ALCOHOL AND DRUG
ADDICTION SERVICES LEVY ON THE ,

WHEREAS, the Franklin County Alcohol, Drug Addiction and Mental Health (ADAMH)
Services Board is charged by law with planning, funding and evaluating mental health, I
alcohol, and drug addiction services in Franklin County; and t
WHEREAS, in 1995, more than 34,000 Franklin County residents received mental health
and substance abuse services provided by a network of non-profit agencies throughout the
county, including the Dublin Counseling Center; and
WHEREAS, the ADAMH system of services helps strengthen children and their families,
helps adults with serious mental illness find and keep jobs, and offers prevention services
for children and adults; and
WHEREAS, the requested lO-year, 2,2 mill replacement levy is a continuation of local
funding for local needs,
NOW, THtREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Dublin, State
of Ohio, of the elected members concurring:
Section 1. That we endorse Issue 2, the Mental Health, Alcohol and Drug Addiction
Services Levy on the November 5, 1996 ballot and encourage all citizens to support the
levy.
Section 2. That this resolution is effective upon passage as provided under Section
4,04(a) of the Revised Charter.
