I' A RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF PASSAGE OF ISSUE 15, THE
Ii METRO PARKS LEVY, WHICH IS BEING PRESENTED TO THE
i VOTERS OF FRANKLIN COUNTY ON MAY 4, 1999

Ii WHEREAS, the Columbus and Franklin County Metropolitan Park District (Metro Parks)
II provides valuable services and adds to the quality of life for all citizens of Franklin County
I'
:! through the establishment and operation of a system of natural area parks; and
WHEREAS, the Metro Parks offer opportunities for outdoor recreation, family activities,

: wildlife observation and educational programs while conserving natural resources
'I throughout Central Ohio; and

!' WHEREAS, Metro Parks is funded primarily through a property tax which has been
I, supported in the past by the majority of voters in Franklin County; and

'i WHEREAS, the existing Metro Parks tax levy will expire this year.

II NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Dublin, State
'I of Ohio, ~ of the elected members concurring that:

!I Section 1. The City of Dublin supports the passage of Issue 15, the Metro Parks 0.65
,I
II mill ten-year levy which is being submitted to the voters of Franklin County on May 4,
II 1999.
Section 2. This resolution is effective upon passage in accordance with Section 4.04(a)
of the Revised Charter.
