AN RESOLUTION DECLARING CERTAIN CITY OWNED PROPERTY
AS SURPLUS AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
DISPOSE OF SAID PROPERTY IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE
OHIO REVISED CODE SECTION 721.15
WHEREAS, the City of Dublin possesses certain fleet and equipment assets for the
purpose of transporting personnel and performing specific work functions; and
WHEREAS, certain fleet and equipment assets have served their useful life; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that the City should maximize the return on its
investment by selling said property,
NOW, THERE~RE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Dublin,
State of Ohio, of the elected members concurring that:
Section 1. The Council of the City of Dublin hereby declares the property listed in
Exhibit "A" as surplus and authorizes the City Manager to properly dispose of said
property in a manner consistent with the Ohio Revised Code, Section 721.15.
Section 2. That this Resolution shall take effect and be in force on the earliest date
permitted by law.

RE: RESOLUTION 37-04 -- SURPLUS CITY PROPERTY

This will be seventh year the City has declared certain public property surplus then conducted a
public auction. It is obvious from the attached property list that that this auction relates
primarily to the disposal of certain fleet related items. Other City property is also auctioned,
but because the individual value is less than $1,000 it is not necessary for Council to declare it
surplus in accordance with ORC, Section 721.15.
Recommendation :
Staff recommends Council pass Resolution 37-04 (attached) declaring certain City property as
surplus.
