A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE LOWEST AND BEST
BID FOR THE SCIOTO PARK NORTH SHELTER
REPLACEMENT PROJECT 2006, APPROPRIATING FUNDS
THEREFOR, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT FOR SAID SERVICES.
WHEREAS, after advertising and receiving bids on Wednesday, July 12, 2006 for the
Scioto Park North Shelter Replacement Project 2006, Council has determined that the
bid submitted by The Nada1in Company in the amount of$148,500.00 is the lowest
and best bid; and
WHEREAS, this project was originally programmed for completion in 2005; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to amend the 2006 annual appropriations ordinance to
provide funding authorization for the project;
NOW, TH~REFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council ofthe City of Dublin, State
of Ohio, of the elected members concurring that:
Section 1. The bid submitted by The Nada1in Company in the amount of$148,500.00
for the Scioto Park North Shelter Replacement Project 2006 is hereby accepted.
Section 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a contract for the project
as listed above, and as specified within the bid proposal and the City's bid documents on
file in the Division of Parks & Open Space.
Section 3. There be appropriated from the unappropriated balance in the Capital
Improvements Tax Fund the amount of$153,000 to account 401-0314-780-2511 for the
project.
Section 4. This Resolution shall take effect and be in force upon passage in accordance
with Section 4.04(a) of the Revised Charter.

RE: Resolution 62-06, Scioto Park North Shelter Replacement Project
Summary
On Wednesday, July 12, 2006 bids were opened for the Scioto Park North Shelter Replacement
Project. This project was originally slated for 2005. The estimate for this project was $139,554.
Three (3) bids were received.
Base Bid
1) Downing Construction Company $157,367.00
2) The Nadalin Company $148,500.00
3) McDaniel's Construction Corp., Inc. $163,821.00
The work consists of labor, materials, and equipment required for the demolition and
reconstruction of the north shelter. This IS the third and final shelter house
renovation/replacement at Scioto Park.
The Nadalin Company has done previous work for the City and staffhas found their work to be
satisfactory.
Recommendation
Staff is recommending adoption of Resolution 62-06, accepting The Nadalin Company's
base bid of $148,500 and authorizing the City Manager to enter into a contract for such
servIces.
