A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE LOWEST AND BEST
BID FOR THE 2006 LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE
NORTH AND 2006 LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE SOUTH
PROJECTS, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT FOR SAID SERVICES.
WHEREAS, after advertising and receiving bids on Tuesday, December 20, 2005 for
the 2006 Landscape Maintenance North and 2006 Landscape Maintenance South
Projects, Council has determined that the base bids submitted by Fox Acres LLC in
the amount of$54,379 for the Landscape Maintenance North and in the amount of
$70,786 for the Landscape Maintenance South projects are the lowest and best bids;
and
WHEREAS, these projects are approved 2006 Capital Improvements Projects.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council ofthe City of Dublin, State
of Ohio, 'I of the elected members concurring that:
Section 1. The bids submitted by Fox Acres LLC in the amount of $54,379 for the
Landscape Maintenance North Project and in the amount of $70,786 for the Landscape
Maintenance South Project are hereby accepted.
Section 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a contract for the projects
as listed above, and as specified within the bid proposal and the City's bid documents on
file in the Division of Parks & Open Space.
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect and be in force upon passage in accordance
with Section 4.04(a) of the Revised Charter.

South Projects
Summary
On Tuesday, December 20, 2005 bids were opened for the Landscape Maintenance North and
Landscape Maintenance South Projects. The funds for these areas of maintenance are included
in the 2006 Operating Budget in the approximate amount of$144,665.
Three (4) bids were received for each project:

2). Fox Acres LLC $54,379.00 $70,786.00 $125,165.00
3). TruGreen Chemlawn $78,672.00 $108,805.00 $187,477.00
4). Environmental Management Service $105,873.00 $122,061.00 $227,934.00
This project consists of weeding, mulching, bed edging, spraying pre-emergent and plant
maintenance for right of ways, medians and green spaces throughout the City of Dublin.
Fox Acres LLC has assmed us they are confident in their bid and will comply with all the terms
of the contract.
Recommendation
Staff is reconnnending adoption of Resolution no. 02-06, accepting Fox Acres LLC's base bids
in the amount of $54,379.00 (North) and $70,786.00 (South).
Staffhas completed references for Fox Acres LLC and found their references to be satisfactory.
