A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE LOWEST AND BEST
BID FOR THE 2006 TURF MAINTENANCE PROJECT,
AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
INTO A CONTRACT FOR SAID SERVICES.
WHEREAS, after advertising and receiving bids on Tuesday, December 13, 2005 for
the 2006 Turf Maintenance Project, Council has determined that the base bid
submitted by Top Seed Lawn Management in the amount of $258,368.82 is the lowest
and best bid; and
WHEREAS, this project is an approved 2006 Capital Improvements Project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council ofthe City of Dublin, State
of Ohio, a- of the elected members concurring that:
Section 1. The bid submitted by Top Seed Lawn Management in the amount of
$258,368.82 for the 2006 Turf Maintenance Project is hereby accepted.
Section 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a contract for the project
as listed above, and as specified within the bid proposal and the City's bid documents on
file in the Division of Parks & Open Space.
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect and be in force upon passage in accordance
with Section 4.04(a) of the Revised Charter.

Summary
On Tuesday, December 13, 2005 bids were opened for the 2006 Twf Right of Way
Maintenance Project. The funds for these areas of maintenance are included in the 2006
Operating Budget in the approximate amount of $358,000,
Five (5) bids were received.
Base Bid
1) Peabody Landscape Construction $392,866.00
2) Buckeye Landscape Services, Inc. $387,307.00
3) Top Seed Lawn Management $258,368.82
4) Lawnscape Inc. $513,960.00
5) Environmental Management Inc. $485,934.00
This project consists of the mowing, fertilizing and broadleaf weed control of right of ways,
medians and green spaces throughout the City of Dublin. Top Seed Lawn Management is
confident in their bid and has stated their connnitment to adhering to the scope of the contract.
Recommendation
Staff is reconnnending adoption of Resolution 01-06, accepting Top Seed Lawn Management's
base bid of$258,368.82.
Staff has completed references for Top Seed Lawn Management and has found their references
to be satisfactory.
