ORDINANCE NO, /~_b/ , VILLAGE OF DUBLIN, OHIO
AN ORDINANCE CREATING THE CAROL S, KENNEDY LIBRARY
OR PARK TRUST FUND AND ACCEPTING THE GIFT BY CAROL
S. KENNEDY IN THE YEAR 1967 FOR SAID FUND: AND DIRECTING
THE TREASURY INVESTMENT BOARD TO INVEST MONIES IN SAID
FUND,
WHEREAS, the Bureau of Inspection and Supervision of Public
Offices has approved the creation of the Carol S, Kennedy Library or
Park Trust Fund; and
WHEREAS. Carol S. Kennedy did, in 196 'i', make a grant and
gift to the Village of Dublin, Ohio, in the amount of $5, 000, 00, to be used
for the purpose of establishing a public library or park in said village;
and
WHEREAS, said Village Council has been determining how to
best use said fund; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council has now determined how to
use said gift and, in order to secure said gift and other similar gifts and
grants, has determined to create and establish the Carol S, Kennedy
Library or Park Trust Fund as a depository for said Carol S, Kennedy
gift and all other gifts for library or park purposes.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the
Village of Dublin, State of Ohio, ..5'; X of the members elected
thereto concurring:
Section 1, That there is hereby created a special fund which
shall be known as the Carol S, Kennedy Library or Park Trust
Fund,
Section 2, That all monies in the Carol S. Kennedy Library or
Park Trust Fund shall be used and expended for the purpose of
encouraging and helping to establish a public library within the
Village or for the purpose of better equipping, improving or ex-
panding, a library properly established, or for the purpose of
purchasing land for eventual use as a public park or for the purpos e
of equiping or maintaining a public park otherwise established,
or for such other purposes as council may subsequently determine
but limited nevertheless to the creation and / or operation of a
public library or public park,
Section 3. That the gift to the Carol S, Kennedy Library Trust

Fund offered by Carol S. Kennedy, for the purposes stated in
Section 2 above, in the amount of $ S:A fi 5'.0 If be and it
hereby is accepted, for the purposes stated in Section 2 above,
and the Clerk-Treasurer is directed to pay said gift directly into
said fund,
Section 4, The Treasury Investment Board is hereby directed
to invest all monies in the Carol S, Kennedy Library Trust Fund
in accordance with Section 731, 56 of the Ohio Revised Code until
further order of Council.
