02-69 Ordinance ORDINANCE NO. 01-", VILLAGE OF DUBLIN, OHIO ORDINANCE CONFIRMING THE APPOINTMENT OF DONALD HUGHES AS POLICEMAN OF THE VILLAGE, SETTING HIS COMPENSATION AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY WHEREAS, the Mayor has appointed Donald Hughes as policeman of the Village for a probationary period of six months starting January 20, 1969; and WHEREAS, Council is of the opinion that the said Donald Hughes is a suitable person for such appointment; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, by the Council of the V illage of Dublin, State of Ohio, 5- of the elected members concurring: SECTION l. That the appointment by the Mayor of Donald Hughes, . as policeman of the Village of Dublin, Ohio, for a probationary period of six months starting January 20, 1969, be, and it hereby is confirmed. SEC TION 2, That in consideration of his full time services to the V illage the Clerk- Treasurer shall pay the said Donald Hughes the sum of Five Hundred Twenty Dollars ($520.00) per month of service, in equal bi- monthly installments on the 15th and last day of each month. SECTION 3. That in addition to the sum specified in Section 2 above, the Clerk- Treasurer shall pay the said Donald Hughes the sum of One Hundr ed Dollar s ($100. 00) per year as a uniform allowance, payable j in semi-annual installments of Fifty Dollars ($50.00) each on February 1, 1969 and August 1, 1969, and the Clerk- Treasurer shall in further consider- ation of his services to the Village pay one-half the premium of a basic medical and hospitalization insurance policy for the benefit of the said Donald Hughes as agreed upon by the Mayor. SECTION 4. That upon completion of each six month period of service to the Village the said Donald Hughes shall be entitled to one week vacation time with pay. SECTION 5. That the said Donald Hughes shall further be entitled to sick leave with pay, but not to exceed one and one-third days times the number of months of his service to the Village and his right to sick leave with pay shall not accumulate beyond a twelve month period. SECTION 6. That the said Donald Hughes shall be subject to call , twenty-four (24) hours per day and his minimum work week shall be forty-errLr (48) hours. i SECTION 7. That the said Donald Hughes shall perform his duties as policeman under the direction of the Marshall and the Mayor. SEC TION 8, That this ordinance be and the same hereby is declared to be an emergency measure necessary for the immediate pre- servation of the public peace and safety for the reason that the Village I I has an immediate need for an additional full time policeman; and that this ordinance shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage.
