SECTION 1: The contract with the Village Engineer should be reopened and re- !'
vised to accomplish the following: I
I
One individual registered Professional Engineer will contract with the Jl1llage I
,
to be the Village Engineer 'and the compensation will be based on a fixed month
ly retainer of $ covering routine work to a maximum of
hours per month. All additional hours will be billed at the rate of $
per hour. I
The'Village Engineer will be responsible for planning of roads and utilities
and shall assist in planning and establishing annual and long range Capital
Improvement Budgets.
The Village1ngineer may be requested to do specific minor engineering pro~
jects such as: minor road improvements or road restorations and minor changes
in Sanitary Sewer" Storm Sewer and i'/aterline projects.
!he Village Engineer will be responsible for evaluating and supervising con-
tracts with outside engineers for all major projects under his jurisdiction.
No firm for which the Village Engineer is 'a regular employee or in which the
~l Village Engineer has a financial interest may propose to do engineering pro-
jects for the Village. ,
