In 2009, Resolution 51 -09 was approved by Council, permitting the City Manager to enter into an agreement with the City of Worthington, Ohio and Delaware County, Ohio for the purpose of establishing a regional council of governments to provide oversight and management of a shared public safety radio system. The resolution also appointed the position of Deputy City Manager /Chief of Police to serve as the representative to the COG goveming board. The COG was officially formed in December 2009 and is now named the Central Ohio Interoperable Radio System (C.O.I.R.S.) With the resignation of Mike Epperson, the position of Deputy City Manager /Chief of Police is unfilled. This resolution officially assigns the position of Chief of Police as the City of Dublin's representative to the C.O.I.R.S. governing board, dropping the title of "Deputy City Manager /Chief of Police" as required in the previous resolution. Recommendation Staff recommends Council approve Resolution 52 -10 at the November 1 Council meeting.
