I I ~ I I WHEREAS, in the opinion of Counci I, part-time aides would be a I distinct benefit to said Council and Village residents: I NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, by the Counci I of the Village of I Dublin, State of Ohio, ~ of the elected members concurring: I .sECT I ON I . That the Village Administrator is hereby authorized I and directed to establish a program to utilize part-time aides. The Vii lage Administrator shall be, and hereby IS, authorized to I pay said aides from the General funds of the Village or other I sources, if ava i I ab Ie, an amount not to exceed $4,000.00 annually, I except that, in the first year, this amount shall be in proport i on I to the balance of the remaining fiscal year. l I SECTION 2. Said aides shall be selected by the Village Adminis- I I trator with the intent and purpose being to provide the best capa- I bility and training available to accomplish the various assign- ments as they occur. Preference shall be given to students pur- I suing studies related to municipal administration or specialties I C appropriate for specific assignments. I I SECTION 3. Duties of aides shall include, but not necessarily be "I restricted to the following: I I I Primary Duties I I I Research, surveys and accumulation and organization of data re- I lated to specific projects requested by Counci I, the Mayor or the I Vi I lage Administrator. I I . I I Secondary Duties I At present, and only unti I the full-time staff of the Vi Ilage I IS large enough to provide flexibility, Aides may be temporarily assigned to assist or substitute for the Clerical Ass i stant. SECTION 4. The Village Administrator shall accept requests for I projects from Counci I members, Mayor and Clerk-Treasurer and shall assign aides to accomplish said projects according to his judge- ment as to the priority of the project/projects and the ability and availability of the staff aide/aides. The Village Administra- I tor shall report to the Council and Mayor, at I east once each I C month, to advise them of the progress on projects assigned,prior- ity of projects pending and, if appropriate, suggestions on pro- I gram: improvements which may require Council act i on . I SECTION 5. Counc i I reserves the right to instruct the Village Administrator as to priority on any pending project by a majority vote of its elected members and the Mayor, as de I i neated in the Ohio Revised Code, may vote in case of a tie.
