ORDINANCE CONFIRMING THE APPOINTMENT OF
MICHAEL WEARS AS A POLICEMAN OF THE .
VILLAGE FOR A PROBATIONARY PERIOD OF SIX I
0 MONTIIS; SETTING HIS COMPENSATION; AND 1
DECLARING AN EMERGENCY

WHEREAS, the Mayor has appointed Michael Wears as Policeman of the
Village for a probationary period of six months; and
WHEREAS, Council is of the opinion that the said Michael Wears is a
suitable person for such appointment,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the Village of Dublin,
State of Ohio, b of the elected members concurring:
SECTION 1. That the appointment by the Mayor of Michael Wears as a
policeman of the Village of Dublin, Ohio, for a probationary period of six
months be, and it hereby is, confirmed,
SECTI ON 2, That the said Michael Wears shall be paid in accordance with
Ordinance No. 55-74 of the Village of Dublin, Ohio,
0 SECTION 3. That pursuant to Ordinance No, 55-74 of the Village of
Dublin, the said Michael Wears shall be given no years credit for prior
service as a policeman of other law enforcement agencies; and that he shall I

be credited with 'no years service in determining his rate of pay,
SECTION 4, That this ordinance be, and the same hereby is, declared
to bEj an emergency measure necessary for the innnediate preservation of the
public peace and safety for the reason that the Village has an innnediate
need for an additional full-time policeman and that this ordinance shall take
effect and be in force innnediately upon its passage,
